Team management – Management of a team of 3 FTE which role imply working and collaborating within the overall Finance Group (i.e. the accounting / G/L team, controlling and investment teams) as well as the other Department (i.e. Legal, B2B Development team, etc.);

CFO-office for Affiliates – The Head of Business Partner intends to develop CFO-office related services where applicable / based on the needs of the affiliates. Among other, it covers the following areas:

Value creation: understanding of the affiliates performance and profitability with a focus on the working capital requirement and cash-flow generation. Where applicable, the team is also involved in the M&A journey.

Value protection: Business Partner seeks for protection of the Affiliates interests, specifically for accounting and reporting purposes (i.e. annual accounts, filling, etc.) in collaboration with the legal and accounting department, tax compliance (a.o. statutory and deferred taxes) in collaboration with the tax department, compliance to internal rules (risk management) and ensuring appropriate funding (i.e. financing of specific operations, set-up of cash-pool agreements, capital injection, etc.) in collaboration with the investment and treasury team.

Data management: where applicable, ensure appropriate management and visualization of data (i.e. analytics, big data, process and data mining, etc.)

Reporting packages – Ensure proper and adequate quarterly closing from the  Affiliates in cooperation with Affiliate’s management and financial teams. Act as a 1st line controller to confirm that the financials reflect the performance of the Affiliates and ensure that these results are correctly booked (by the BP team) in due time

Latest estimates and budgeting exercise –Take ownership of the reporting and follow-up of the LE1, LE2, LE3 and PMT for the Retail and Services affiliates in collaboration with Controlling and Accounting.

· Accounting and operational expertise – Ensure accounting and operational expertise for the Services and Retail affiliates, among other, proper follow-up on specific matters such as IFRS 16, PPA analysis (including validation of opening balance sheet in accordance with IFRS3/10), off-balance sheet, etc.

· M&A related work  

· Group Finance policies – ensure that the affiliates are following and compliant with the Finance policies of the EDF/Luminus Group (cash management, financing, audits and risk assessment, purchasing policies, …)


  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (i.e. IFRS)
  • Leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Communication skills: verbal, writtten and communication
  • Helicopter view ; Team player
  • Flexible (constantly responding to new priorities)
  • Being able to make decisions
  • University education or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 year experience in audit / accounting / controlling experience
  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (i.e. IFRS)
  • System minded (experience in ERP – SAP / Navision & Excel and BPC is a plus)
